October 7th, 2021 by

Mazda announced that they will add 3 new SUVs to their lineup by 2023: the CX-50, CX-70, and the CX-90. The first arrival is the CX-50 and is planned to debut in November. This vehicle will be a mid-size crossover and will share a platform with the CX-30 on its debut. Then in January it will enter production in a facility in Huntsville, Alabama in joint venture with Toyota. The price of the CX-50 has yet to be unveiled but expect it to start higher than the CX-5, which starts at $26,545.

The other two SUVs, CX-70 and CX-90, will feature the new longitudinal architecture. The CX-70 is a two-row SUV while the CX-90 is a three-row SUV, both featuring widebody designs. Consumers will have a choice between either a turbocharged inline six engine or a plug-in-hybrid option. All wheel drive is the standard for these vehicles. The CX-70 is going to be introduced as a new model similar to the CX-50 and the CX-90 will replace the CX-9 in the lineup.

We’re looking forward to learning more about these new SUVs as more information becomes available!
